Second Rate Angels burst on to the scene late 2011 and soon began to wow audiences with their high octane live shows. Hailing from Hemel Hempstead and consisting of Chris Lewis (Guitars and Backing Vocals), Matt Clark (Guitars and Backing Vocals), Dave Gobran (Vocals and Bass) and Andy Doran (Drums), the foursome nailed performances at Bloodstock Open Air Festival, and went on to play a string of highly successful shows throughout London and the South, landing supports with the likes of Breed 77, Beholder and Zico Chain along the way. The lively four piece are now primed to step up with the national release of their debut EP ‘The Lost Days’.
Originally hailing from Camden – London, Octavius have an unusual adaptability.Whilst fitting into the traditional Progressive foundations; they display a strong and demanding live set, packed with anger and emotion likened to straight-forward heavy bands.
After the release of the debut EP – ‘Anxiociety’, it became clear that Octavius would flourish.
They have shared the stage with prominent acts such as Black Tongue and The Argent Dawn and have also had the privilege of performing in some well established venues, for example Camden Barfly.
Octavius’ aggressive sound stems from its socio-political stances and the strikingly honest views they portray though all of their songs, namely ‘God’s Bleed’ – something they strive to maintain. Octavius are a band to tell the brutal truths of the world and its inhabitants.
