SWEETHEART OF THE RODEO
Formed in December 2012, this London based band consists of Adrian Badger (Vocals/Guitar), Dan Howe (Guitar) David Foster (Drums) and Callum Hayes (Bass/Vocals). This guitar driven, harmony led band inject vitality into the tired rock formula and are fast establishing themselves as an incendiary live act.
Give Blood is Jonny Garrill and William Bembridge, two former art students from London. The band, previously known as Rhythm, has been going for some time, but the sound has been undergoing a radical change in the past year.
Now consisting of vocals, guitars and live electronics, old songs have been transformed and new material merged to create a unique sound.
Paper Fish play music rooted in the British folk tradition with a twist of pop sensibility. Their songs tell stories of lost love, poor circumstance and the drive to overcome adversity.
Paper Fish are a London based five piece semi-acoustic band. They perform their own material mixed with updated folk songs of protest and love with the occasional cover in their unique style.
Hailing from Wellington, New Zealand, Craig Elliott spent several years as the guitarist of a local noise-rock outfit before going solo in 2010. Trading in feedback, distortion and jumping around for an acoustic guitar and sitting down, he released his debut EP that same year. A lo-fi, acoustic-based, bedroom-recorded affair.
In 2012 he released his first full-length album, ‘Fire For The Red Corner’, after a laborious two-year long process of writing, recording, deleting, rewriting and re-recording. Described as “A mixture of Elliott Smith vocals and hedonistic aggression, all piled together in a lo-fi haze that revels in the gaps in between as much as the bursts of distortion”, the album saw Craig balancing his acoustic, lo-fi sound with his distorted roots.
Having relocated to the UK this year, Craig is now regularly gigging around London, earning praise for his dynamic and unpredictable solo performances, which see him switching between subtle finger-picking and fuzzed-out shredding at any given moment.
Jehnniel is a singer-songwriter based in London who has the power to evolve a transfusion of Acoustic Alternative Pop music in her own taste of colourful life experiences in different shades and flare. She interprets every song in a way anyone can relate from young and older generations as she involves her powerful feelings and emotions through the presence of nature and fate. Imaginative and creative lyrics, Jehnniel has traded her mark as an acoustic alternative pop musician, in a very refine and innocent style of song writing.
Eclectic pop artist with a soulful voice and overpowering femininity. Sounds like Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos and Kate Bush. Moscow born, Svetlana moved to London at 17 and now plays with a group of talented musicians and solo.
